The successful marriage

By entering into marriage, a person is not alone but has someone else too. Besides that, they are both not alone, but they live before God and something more: they entered into the marriage precisely to live before God, to be with Him, and achieve communion with Him.

A successful marriage is not just when the two spouses manage to have communion, harmony, and understanding between them, but when either one or the other or both of them submit to God’s provi- dence and bear their cross.

How many of us are so poor from the perspective of personality development, from the perspective of spiritual content, because we’ve learned to depend on a person, to rely on them and be dragged behind them, and not act by ourselves at all. We don’t allow our character to open up, our soul to open up to God’s grace and be filled with it.
