Passions, sins and weaknesses

If you’re shamed a little and spurred to action, God will allow things to come in such a way, that you’ll be convinced it is your own self who doesn’t let Christ come into you.

We lead lives of comfort. That’s why our passions are thriving. It doesn’t matter that we have passions, sins and weaknesses. They are a reality, but if we take heed, they can become the means to humility. They help us come to an understanding: “Myself needs to change, has to change. Why do I sit idle, in charge of myself thinking that I know all and will manage fine?”

The pursuit of any sinful pleasure, which only serves to confirm man’s being, drives him, little by little, into a state of callousness.
