“Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me”

Let us make good use of all the spare time we have during the day and say the short prayer, “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, the sinner”. This prayer contains everything: repentance, humility, return to God, asking and longing for God. “My God, Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me”.

However, you can’t say this prayer and, at the same time, be proud of yourself. You can’t say this prayer and have a stony soul, you can’t say this prayer and be impudent before God. You can’t say this prayer and be intolerant towards other people, you can’t be putting the blame on other people, sinners or not.

“Even if my soul bleeds, I have made up my mind to fight the good fight and struggle.” That’s what repentance is. You make decisions and put them into practice.
