Why do you worry?

Why do you worry?

More often than not man falls prey to worry. As soon as humility comes to his heart, the whole anxiety, the whole agitation, leaves.

Why do you worry? Well, things worked out in such a way, that you were exposed. Because of this exposure, the old man was not “fed”, and you felt in- significant. Either God allowed for things to work out in a way that your nothingness came to light, or the way they treated you totally wiped you out. However, once you humble yourself and say “Let it be blessed, my God; that’s the truth”, there’s no problem, and you are no longer upset or worried. You bring peace to yourself. “I was brought low, and he delivered me,” says the psalmist.

This is what repentance means: I confess my guilt, not simply the incident. I am in pain. I am being torn apart but I don’t bear a grudge against God. I act as I do, in great seriousness, without making any excuses for myself.
