Let us Follow Christ to the End

Let us Follow Christ to the End

Christ didn’t simply suffer a few ordeals. He suffered all things to the very end. Let us follow Christ to the end; let us not follow a little or from a distance. The human soul, the depth of which is immeasurable, is sinful. Sin lies at the very bottom of the soul. That’s why Christ descended so low.

The whole secret of salvation is this: it is Christ who saves us. Man cannot be saved otherwise. But, Christ saves us, in the sense that we have every intention to see what we are like deep down, which is, that we are very sinful. God will help us see it. Man fell and, in sin, he hit his lowest point. Christ descended to the deepest end and saved man through His death.

We should forget everything else and hold on to this: “Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom”.
