Enemy, but also opponent-All traps are destroyed

Why is the devil called not only an enemy, but also an opponent? He is called
an enemy because he hates man, hates good, wants evil. He is called an
opponent because he attempts to hinder everything good. Does anyone want
to pray? He resists by hindering with evil thoughts, with captivity of mind, with
sloth. Does anyone want to do alms? He hinders with avarice, with stinginess.

someone becomes empathic and spiteful
