What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says they have faith but has no deeds? Could faith only save him? What good is it if we don’t give alms for the support of our poor brothers? So, faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself. Show me your faith by your good deeds; and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that God is one, and you are right to do so. But don’t forget that even demons believe in God’s existence and tremble before Him. In Abraham, faith was working together with his deeds, and by his deeds his faith was perfected (Epistle, James 2:14-22).
