Sin is egoism

Let us become aware of our sin and weakness and see our weakness in its real dimensions. That’s how the Lord would like us to be. Αware of our sins and humble, unable to rely on our own powers. Having faith only in what He gives and offers. Let us rely on the strength provided by our Lord, and in this way, win.

Sin is egoism and egoism itself doesn’t want to say, “yes, I am egoism”. Nor can egoism shout or cry out, “save me from egoism”. All this happens exactly because sin didn’t enter man on its own accord. Nor does it nest in man as if it crept in secretly without anyone realizing, just like germs do in the human system. It is the human will that consents to sin.

Sin won’t get unrooted from the soul, unless man is hurt, crushed and grieved.
