The real pleasure

How can one who enjoys irrational and temporary pleasures be
convinced that what he enjoys is not the real pleasure and that the
real pleasure must be considered some other mental and immaterial
pleasure?  Mental pleasure, that is mainly what is called pleasure,
because after its enjoyment, it causes joy, while sensual and carnal
pleasure is not, nor should be called pleasure, because after its
enjoyment, it causes sorrow in the heart.
