covering the area of the Monastery and illuminating the surrounding enclosure
all night?
8. Do you know that when Saint Markella is celebrated in Chios and the priest
and the people go to the place near the seashore where the Saint was
martyred to chant her Supplication, the sea waters heat up and emit steam
and bubbles, and as soon as the supplication ends, all these phenomena
stop?
9. Do you know that at the Monastery of Panagia Malevi near Tripoli, there is
an ancient icon of the Virgin Mary that mysteriously exudes Holy Myrrh of
excellent quality and long-lasting fragrance?
10. Did you know that on Mount Athos, the Virgin Mary also spoke to the
monks many times to protect them from pirates when they were in danger, as
happened at the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi with the icon of the Virgin Mary
of Paramythia, which is miraculous?
11. Do you know that every year at the feast of our Virgin Mary on August
15th in Markopoulo, Kefalonia, snakes appear on the icon of the Virgin Mary
and do not bite the pilgrims? The residents even wrote a poem that says: "I
call the snakes from Markopoulo to eat me, but they are from the Virgin Mary
